School Profile

The school is located along the highway and is within the community. Both the Elementary and Secondary operates in one campus. The land it is occupying is legalized by a Tax Declaration issued in the name of Guinsorongan Elementary School. Water The school gets its water supply from Catbalogan Water District and deep well for in flushing the toilets.  For drinking purposes, the students and teachers buy mineral/purified water from the school Canteen supplied by commercial water stations from Catbalogan proper.
Previously Guinsorongan National High School was named Guinsorongan Integrated School (GIS) where the elementary and secondary classes co-exist in one campus.  The secondary was separated from the elementary through the Regional Memorandum No. XXX s. 2004 which created the Guinsorongan National High School into a full-fledged secondary school.  Every year an additional year level was added and four years thereafter the school became a complete 4-year secondary school.
In SY 2016-17 GNHS offered Grade 11 Senior High School with HUMSS as its Academic Track and seven (7) TVL Specializations, namely: Bread and Pastry, Carpentry, Cookery, Caregiving, Housekeeping, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing, Shielded Metal Arc Welding a year later in SY 2017-18, Grade 12 was added to its curriculum.  Recently in SY 2019-20, the General Academic Subjects (GAS) and Caregiving were offered to Grade 11.
In terms of staff development, from the original 3 teachers hired to man the secondary school in 2002 to date GNHS has 27 Junior High School and 19 Senior High School nationally-paid teachers.
